How Did Famous Celebrities Get Discovered Before Becoming Famous?.....
Many people wonder how celebrities got discovered. Did they go through a talent agent or was it the academy they visited to learn acting that opened the doors? Or did they just happened to be in the right place at the right time when a directory or producer needed someone specific and they were the perfect match? There is no such formula that would provide you with a solution. As a matter of fact, every celebrity most likely had a different way of a) being discovered and b) work her way up to stardom.
Many celebrities had plain and normal jobs before they became famous. Take Megan Fox as an example. She started her career in a smoothie shop and sometimes even had to wear a Banana costume. Ellen DeGeneres worked in a car wash as a driver. Gwen Stefani worked at a Dairy Queen before becoming famous. Tina Fey started out a Snack Bar at a swim club.
From these examples you can tell that there is no such thing as a roadmap to fame. Whatever works to bring in money to pay the bills, celebrities had to do it. Pretty much the same way it works for you. With one difference though - the celebrities grabbed an opportunity at one point and it paid off. They might also have put in some extra efforts to get to where they are today. Some childhood celebrities were discovered through photo contests or talent shows. However, famous child actors and stars never were able to carry their fame over into adulthood. I have heard about celebrities that won a photo contest and started out with being that cute baby in a TV commercial.
Many ways lead to stardom and fame, but many more ways do not lead to anything at all. It is like playing the lottery - you never know when or how or if you win. The same is definitely true with becoming a celebrity. Pick the wrong movies to play and you never make it. Get lucky and be the main actor in a movie of a newbie directory who then lands a smash hit - you are all set. Think Julia Roberts and the movie "Pretty Woman". That movie was extremely successful and pushed Julia Roberts into the top league at Hollywood. Not many other female actors were able to ask for huge salaries and got them, too.
Conclusion: There is no one way to become famous. Expect to work a normal job before being discovered by a talent agent. Consider participation in talent shows or photo contest to get your face out there.
